Hi Folks,

I'm seriously considering the purchase of a used Mini. I have several questions.

I drive 135 miles a day to/from work. (4 day work week) About 100 miles of that is interstate highway. The rest is two lane country roads with little to no stop and go traffic. With non-work drive miles added in, I put about 750-800 miles a week on a car.

Will a Mini hold up to that kind of mileage? (although I may swap drive time with another vehicle occasionally)

I may be dating myself here but I've had two 78 320i bimmers, a 66 MG Midget and currently working on a 72 MG Midget. I know what maintenance is and means on these vehicles.

Is the Mini maintenance intensive?

When scoping out Mini's on the lots, what should I look for as far as wear an tear items go? Tell-tale signs of a hard life Mini?
