Default Winter Use of Cooper S

Hi. I am new to the forum and about ready to pull the trigger on a replacement car for my wife. We are replacing a Saab 93 convertible and seriously considering a 2006 Mini Convertible S. My question is am I nuts on thinking that this car would be OK in NH in the winter? We have some other convertibles for her to use but she (and I) are really attracted to the Mini. She also likes the convenience of having a convertible as her daily driver. I know that I would need a full set of snows. Does anybody in snow country on the forum do this and would they reconsider?
Thanks for the input.

Default RE: Winter Use of Cooper S

Live on Long Island and just bought a convertible Mini Cooper S.
I would get limited slip differential as an option as well as the active stabilization feature.
Being that the car is from wheel drive, I think you will be ok.
