Water/meth... is the future!! I port and polish Heads, and tring to keep the buck as low as I can , and show the results in a real world platform, as most of us arent taking the Track every weekend..?? We are driving to and from work.. road trips on the hiways and back roads. stop and go traffic..yes?? SOOOOooooo..... I do a little/ dyno/ do a little more / dyno.. and this is a basic 06 MINI S, cool??
I dynoed the 06 as a base in 95 degree heat, cooling fans on the i/c and a long cool down.. I pulled a whooping 148 HP ( sae corrected) This is a "one ball exhaust" and a CAI !! Then a 15% pulley.. again 98* heat! NO cooling fans over the I/C( real life here in Fl.Traffic ) and made a pull, the pull isnt correct as I was loosing spark, which is corrected and will address later.. I pulled 170.1 HP ( sae corrected )!! Then I turned on my Snow Meth/water kit.. I has running a 25 meth/ 75% water mix!! Hot lapped the engine ( no more than a 5 minute cool down ) and pulled 177.6 WHP ( sae corrected) !! This is WITH ign issues!! The gain of 7.5 WHP ( on 6k revs and bad ign) !! Does a $800.00 I/C give those results??
Again.. the ign is fixed.. and I will run again on the dyno in a week!! I am going for the maxdifferance on a HOT engine in the Heat of Fl. ( like real life..) SOOoooo... I should supect the gains will be MORE in the cooler air... LOL but we aint there are we?? LOL
Cost?? The Kit I bought was a variable pressure/ "vairable on and full on" kit from Snow!! It cost $550.00 and is more effective than a big I/C for $800.00 and needs air flow to cool!! Yes?? Oh the mixture?? Windshield washer fluid !! and how much is that?? LOL

Straight alcohol or ???
has anyone tried to use straight alcohol or M5 alcohol from VP ? look up what M5 is before answering please as i am considering a meth kit and using straight or M5 alcohol. Also......... where is the best place to put the nozzle ? before the turbo ? before the intercooler ? or after the cooler ? i ask about M5 alcohol because i race sprintcars in PA and one of the sneaky things people do to get a "cheatin *** ege" is put M5 in the tank. It'll turn a 400-450 hp 350 chevy into and motor that acts like its on crack. lo l
