battery will not hold charge

I have a 2004 mini cooper and it was recently repaired for some front body damage. Now the battery will not hold a charge and there is a humming noise. when you hook it up. Any thoughts?

I'd suggest finding the hum ... I'm guessing the Power steering pump ... Hook it up and start pulling fuses till the noise stops
