I have and 06 r53 that I bought new, It now has 44,500 miles on it. It has the Aisin 6 speed paddle shift tranny . I've never had any problems with it. My factory 4 yr. warranty runs out next week. Should I buy some sort of extended warranty insurance to cover the mechanicals or just wait and see.Has anyone had any long term experience with this tranny. Ron Simon

I guess it's up to you if you want to gamble you can see the bill ...

Mini as well as others do offer extended warranties , check and see exactly what they cover and how much they cover most offer different levels of coverages , deductibles and remtal cars ect
