I'm still waiting on my mini cooper s but have a question. If i install a front strut bar on my own will it void the warrenty? If i have to i will go through the dealer but i have installed strut bars on an older honda civic were the warrenty was not on it. It was easy, i don't need to pay someone to do somethign that i can do with a friend one night after work.

 

I doubt they'd void the warranty for a strut bar ... Normally they will only void the warranty on what it touches /influences ... so unless you have the strut mounts mushroom you'll be fine , and even then you can remove the bar before taking it in ...
Mines been on since 05 and nothing said at service times

 

I recently purchased a 2006 Mini S and turned it in to the dealer for a battery issue. The dealer called me back and said my strut mounts needed replaced. The Mini only has 29K on it. Does anyone know if these strut mounts are under warrenty?
