18 inch rims for for 2006 cooper s
#3
Got an a 2009 S convertible with stock !6" rims. Will 18" work and what's the largest tire I can use and still stay under warranty. I may go to conventional tire instead of run flats. Would the sizes change depending on which tire I select. Thanks, Bob

I'm just about ready to start my upgrade process from 16" to 18" rims and tires.
More questiones:
Knowing I will need to install turning stops, will there be a big loss in the cars turning radius?
I'm going with a non OEM rim 18X7 with a 52mm offset. OEM {John Cooper Works 18" rims} come with a 52mm offset. The dealer says the OEM rim will fit my 2009 S convertabile. I hope the mail order non OEM rims will also fit. I leaning towards the OEM tire size of 205/40R18 just to be sure all fits in the wheel well.
I'm not doing run flats. Leaning towards Michelin Pilot Sport PS2.
Any comments on my plan? Thanks, Bob.
