Default Best All-Season RunFlat?

My Dunlop Sport 5000's are cuped on the inside edge and noisy at 20K miles. Can anyone recommend a good and affordable replacement brand and model? Thanks.

Dunlops are solid around. You didn't like them?

No, definitely do not like the OEM Dunlop Sport 5000's. They were OK for the first 10K miles, but became so noisy that I thought a wheel bearing was going out. Even with the wheels balanced and checked for dents, my steering wheel would vibrate back and forth at 70 mph. When I took my car in at 22K miles to have the front-end checked out, the dealer put a new set of wheels and tires on the car to see if that got rid of the noise and vibration -- it did.

So I ordered a new set of 195/55VR-16 Continental ContiProContact SSR RunFlats from TireRack for $109 each and had Discount Tire put them on for $100. My Mini S now rides smooth and quiet with the same great handling -- all vibration and noise is gone. I went with these Conti's because they are now the OEM tires that come on the 2007 MCS cars and are considered a "second-generation" design runflat.

Ditch the run-flats! You'll be much happier wtih a bottle of slime and a 12V compressor and the nice comfy responsive ride of non run-flat tires.

After several blowouts on my run flats, I replaced them with conventional non-run flats. Have been satisfied with the softer ride and have not had any blowouts.
