Default Flat Tire Warning Light

Car came with 175/65 15 84H Continental tires. We've had nothing but problems with these "Continentals"( a very poor quality tire), and have replaced 3 of them over the last two years. Decided to change brand, but low and behold only "Continental" makes this size. Have changed to 185/60R 15 Michelin "Harmony", but the blasted "Flat Tire Warning Light" came on after several miles. The tires are not flat, and would like to know how to have the blinking light put out? Have put black tape over it for the time being.

You should reset it whenever you change pressures or tires or anything. The recomended method is to drive slowly in a stright line and press and hold it so it gets a baseline. Pressing it while not moving just resets the light, not the baseline.

Default How they doing?

You said you have changed to 185/60R 15 Michelin "Harmony" What is the result? Are these RFTires? Quiet? Any reason to think they'll get good tread life?

I too have the tire pressure light and have done the reset as instructed. Not long after the light appears again. My tires are in perfect condition, but I have heard rumors that some mechanics have a sensor wand and when waved by the tires it legitimately resets and fixes the tire sensors. Might save a trip and money to find out instead of going to an expensive dealership.
