Replacing Run-flats with standard tyres

Replacing Run-flats with standard tyres
I have a 2006 Mini Copper S, after hearing of the much better ride and handling withstandard tyres as compared to run-flats,and due to cost effectiveness, i have decided to change to non run-flats. However i would like to know:
1.Will the run-flat indicator light, next to handbrake stay on?
2. Will any modifications need be done to the rims?
3. Will this affect my carswarranty/maintance plan?
4. How would i deal in the case of a puncture, heard sumthin about a tire mobility kit?
5. If i have 205/45/17tyres at the moment, would 215/45/17 tires fit?
6. What make of tyre is recommended for a mini?
Some feedback on this will be much appreciated. Thanks

If you leave the TPMS in the Rim it will function as always
2. Will any modifications need be done to the rims?
No
3. Will this affect my carswarranty/maintance plan?
They never said anything to me
4. How would i deal in the case of a puncture, heard sumthin about a tire mobility kit?
$20 at walmart , slime and an air compressor... Get that and /or triple ato cover towing incase of a flat
5. If i have 205/45/17tyres at the moment, would 215/45/17 tires fit?
http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.asp according to that yes ... I run 205/40/17 (More common size)
6. What make of tyre is recommended for a mini?
I've run Kuhmo , Yokohama's , Nitto's

RE: Replacing Run-flats with standard tyres
I replaced my 2007 cooper S run flats with Michelin Pilot Exalto 205/45 ZR 17. The original run flats lasted about 28,000 miles but were harsh and bumpy and noisy.
The new tires are much quieter and handle as well or better. No other problems at all...

new owner seeks counsel - tire pressures, etc.
QUESTION: I bought my brother's 2003 Mini Cooper S at his request once cancer took over his life. He was in no shape to discuss his pride and joy so I could use some advice on tire pressure. My experience is with TR4s, Sunbeam Tigers, Corvettes, and Alfa Romeos which I could judge easily and adjust while driving so these new low-profile hard sidewall runflats (but I guess Kumhos are not runflats) are news to me (not to mention fwd). When I picked it up in Oklahoma in winter the Kumho Excsta SPT 205/45R17 were at 24-25 psi which seemed way too low (he had not driven it for a year). The sill plate said 33-38. I tried various pressures from 41 to 30. 38 psi coming through 6 inches of rain in Texas did focus my attention. I also bought the SP Sport 5000 DSST 195/55R16 M+S with five wheels which he had taken off. Does anyone have experience with tire pressures that they can share? I use it for sport (I live in mountains) and vacation since my job provides daily transportation. I love the car but want to both take care of it and maximize my enjoyment. Any particular accessories (center consoles, etc.) or accessory sellers anyone can recommend? Is 91 octane high enough? Premium was 93 octane in Oklahoma. Any peculiar maintenance issues? Mileage is 47K now. Sure is a sweet car, if a whole new experience for me.
Thanks. I guess I am now my brother's Cooper.
