I'm new to this forum, and just bought my first mini last week, a brand new '08 Cooper S. It came with the MP3 plug, and I tried using it with an IPOD touch. Tried using the cable that came with the car, and tried using my own cables to hook it up, but each time I do not get full sound. It sounds like like I only get the background vocals. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks!

 

nope, mine works flawlessly. all it is, is an audio input jack to the stereo. try someone elses device and a different cable, make sure its fully seated. same issue with other hardware, I would point a finger at the device. you did push the button a third time for AUX, right?
