Center console lights/contols out
Hey All,
This is my first time on the Mini Forum. Hello to all and thanks for having me!
I have a 2015 Cooper S. I took it in for a DMV required smog check yesterday. When I dropped the car off, I had the heater / fan on and the seat warmers. (Hey, it was 53 degs and I'm in CA).
The car passed smog and as I left, I noticed that the lights on the lower part of the center console were off. This is the 3 heat / air / airflow ***** and the buttons below for the seat warmers, defrost, air flow, etc.
In addition, I was unable to adjust any of these controls. I immediately went back inside the Smog shop but they insisted that their tests could not effect the electrical system. When I went back to the car, I noticed that the fan was still on even the the car was turned off.
I restarted the car but the lights and controls were still off. I drove the car home and the only thing I could think to do was to disconnect the battery and hope a 'reboot' would solve the issue. When I reconnected the battery the fan was no longer running so this was good but still no control or lights for the heating / air / airflow.
Any thoughts on this? Could it be a fuse? I appreciate any and all help. Thanks!
Cheers, Mike
