Default Electrical problem with power windows

I’m having intermittent problems with my power windows.

At times when I press the switch to roll my driver side window down, both windows go down all the the way. When I try flip the driver wide window up to close the window, the lights on seat warmer button goes on instead.

I have to wait several hours for it to work again.

Any idea what could be causing this? Seems to be some sort of electrical issue.

Reggie, Did you ever find out what was going on with the mini? I am having the same exact problem.

Yeah, my mechanic cleaned the contacts on the ECU module by the driver and passenger footwell.

My mechanic said there’s a known issue with water leaking from the sunroof down to the ECU module. He checked and saw that the tubing was already replaced to prevent leakage, but said that the contacts probably wasn’t cleaned out and deteriorated over time.
