I purchased a used 2009 Mini Clubman with an engine problem. I had it towed to a reputable foreign car repair shop. They rebuilt the engine. When I got it back, within about 20 miles, the engine light came on and it started running rough. I took it to an auto supply store where they read the code, which said an MAF problem. I took it back to the repair shop. They replace the MAF sensor. The engine light came on within one mile after I picked it up. The repair shop put in a second MAF and drove it quite a bit. Drove it several miles and then let it sit a couple of hours. The next time I drove it, the light was back on within a few miles. Took it back. They replaced the MAP and drove it quite a bit. Picked it up and drove it about 25 miles, let it sit a few hours. The next time I started it up, the light came on again. Any thoughts? I don't want to spend a bunch of money on fixes that don't fix the problem.
