Cool Keepin' it cool

What are the most effective and "value-engineered" ways (ie. cost effective, best bang for the buck etc.) to keep the mini's engine cool. Do expensive radiator hoses really make that much of a difference? Should an aftermarket radiator and fans be a consideration?

Cooling is important for the life of the engine and adequate performance and I feel it is extremely important. I am the biggest advocate of proper cooling and weight reduction and I want to know how to do them best.

If there is a link to another thread that can answer my cooling questions please direct me so I don't bog down the forum with an unnecessary thread. If there isn't please help me in my quest for a cool motor. Thanks for the help, everyone.

Hey Tylewis. Have u ever seen the very inexpensive custom mod where u take one of the windshield wiper lines and have it redirected to your intercooler? Looks pretty trick. Just go on youtube and you can get the general idea of it. Good luck!

Thats pretty cool, I haven't heard of that. Sounds like the same thing as the I/C Waterspray on STI's. I will definitely take a look at that. Thank you!
