OIL CONSUMPTION Question

MY MCS has Used about 1/2 quart in the first 4 K miles . Is this normal .
I do not beat it too much .I have never red lined it .

I would like to say it should not, but the parts are seating themselves and breaking in.
I have a tendency to think it is normal initially since the engine is tight but oil consumption should reduce.

I just turned 2000 miles in my S and have not burned any oil that I can tell. The dip stick they use sure makes it hard to check the oil level.

1/2 quart isn't something to worry about Idon't think.
