I want to know who or how many people have had problems with a 2007 mini s timing belt, gear, etc. Also, outcomes of this problem. My car stopped in the middle of the road and wouldn't restart. I was told the tensioner broke and the engine seized. Price to repair this $5,000. Just found out after repair being done that car is still under warranty until end of June. Unfortunately Mini will not reimburse for 3rd party repairs. Also in the works when putting everything back together they realized the actual gear had been shaved and metal shavings in rest of engine. Anybody out there have ideas, comments?
