So I am stumped. When I am running through the gears getting on the Highway I seem to always trip the yellow engine light with 4th gear. I bought a scanner and there are no codes stored and when I shutoff the car and start it later the light is gone. I changed all the coils and there is no hesitation or power loss when it happens. Has anyone else had this problem and does anyone know what I should be checking?

 

You may need to take it to MINI. There are codes that an OBD2 scanner won't pick up. Sorry.

 

Turned out to be a bad turbo so 2300 later I am back on the road.
