2019 Countryman - Does my motor mount really need to be replaced for this?
The last couple of times I have taken my car to the dealership, they have informed me that the front crankshaft seal has a very slow oil leak that is slowly dripping down onto the lower motor mount. They want me to replace both. My question is... if I get the seal replaced, can't they just clean the oil off of the motor mount and put it back in if it isn't cracked or anything? Or does the oil damage the integrity of the mount so it would be safer to get it replaced? Thanks for your thoughts!
