Hi - I did a quick search in the forums, but did not find anything obvious regarding my specific question.

I have a 2012 Clubman that I have owned for almost 2 years. Recently it started acting a little strange - the oil light is coming on after about 15-20min of driving. It flashes on and bings, but then disappears. One time it flashed on, binged, and kept doing this followed by a yellow Check Engine indicator. After stopping and checking the oil (which was fine) it showed no faults and no problems.

Now, each time I drive it, the oil light will pop on with a bing, then disappear. The oil level is fine and the engine sounds/runs fine.

Any thoughts?

It has over 121000 miles on it.

 

Check the oil level when car is cold. If level is good, replace the sensor. If the issue continues, replace the pump
