2002 mini has no spark, needs an EWS module?
I towed a dead mini (which I bought hoping it would not need much work) to the shop, they said it needed an ESW module? I think he meant a EWS?
anyway, the part cost 110, and 135 to program? then 1.5 hour install, plus the 93.00 diagnostic, comes to around 500.00, does that seem fair?
Also they determined that the number 2 and 4 holes had low compression, do you think it was because of the constant cranking the repo guys and the auction guys and the ones that bought the car did on this car, thinking they were going to start it? Would that cause the cylinders to dry out and decrease the compression?
Will this problem "straighten" out once it runs again, or am I looking at a head/gasket, valve job scenario?
thanks
