I’ve been investigating a purchase of my first Mini. I’ve read the automatics before 2007 can be problematic….and therefore, if I go with pre-2007, I should definitely get a standard. Does that sound right?

Is there anything else I should be aware of for pre-2007?

Im also considering 2007+ as well....just a lot to think about.

Yes you are right the automatics pre 07 seem to have problems. Problems you don't want to deal with. Are you looking at S models or just the base models? The 07+ are nice as well. With pre 07 cars look for rust and electrical problems. Good luck.
