Engine fan comes on after shutting car off

Engine fan comes on after shutting car off
I am new to this! Looking for any advice/suggestions. After shutting car down, the engine fan comes on and runs for about 3 minutes. I do not have an a/c system that works. Sensor maybe ? TIA
