Default Heating Problems.

I have an 05 Cooper and the heater isn't working properly. I just paid for the 60000 mile factory service and hope it isn't another costly repair. The heater is blowing fine but the air is still cold, there is a humming sound after I shut the ignition off, and lastly the temperature gage goes up. When I paid for the 60000 mile service I got a flush n fill and the mechanic had to "burp" the system to get the air out of lines and make sure thermostat read temperature properly. Any ideas what my problem might be? I am in Wisconsin and my heater for sure.

Since you JUST paid for the service and I assume it was working before I'd return it to the dealer for then to fix it.
The noise you hear is likely the electric fan running trying to cool the radiator, so likely it is getting up to temp. it could be a heater core blocked or a valve not opening

i too think the dealer should take the responsibility to fix it for free
after all you've just paid for the whole fix!
