Default Squeaky behind dash when turning

I have read about steering noises “clicking”, but this noise sounds like two balloons rubbing when I turn my steering wheel. I am going to my dealer tomorrow, for a diagnosis, but hoping someone else has a fix for me.
My mini is a 2006 with 97,000. Thanks

My son's 04 Squeeks, it is very annoying. I am in to hear the fix if there is one

Default Squeaky dash resolved

After sharing my issues with my dealer, the cause for the squeak was because of worn struts and torn mounts. You can easily see the strut mount tear with the hood or bonnet open. I picked it up today and drove just like new. Pricey repair and I could have gone to an independent repair shop, but they have my trust and I had a new countryman S to drive around as a loaner.
