Good afternoon,
I currently own a 2005 mini cooper s with 113,983 miles on it. Last October 2019, I thought I had an issue with a fuel pump. It would start up and then die out. I work nights so when this would happen at work I would do my shift and in the morning it would start and run. It did it a couple dozen more times. Last Tuesday it did it but refused to start. I ordered a new fuel pump, and filter and installed both. It still does not start. I have an obdm tool that I attached to the computer and it shows nothing wrong with the car. (Unless I am not reading it right). I am not a mechanic and only have fixed my car using you tube or other online resources. Has anybody else encounter this issue? Anything else that I can check on the car? I am totally perplexed as to what is keeping it from starting.

 

Sounds like a starter I would check it.
