Default Hard shifting from 2005 MINI Cooper S

First off, I own a 2005 MINI Cooper S with the 6-speed automatic. Lately, I have been having some hard shifts. It mostly happens when the vehicle is upshifting from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd, although it has problems with 2nd to 1st intermittently. It only has problems shifting once the car has warmed up to operating temperatures and doesn't seem to do it consistently, it just has a hard shift here and there. I was thinking the trans fluid just needed to be flushed since it does have 93000 miles, but, from what I have read, the MINI's are made to never have to trans fluid flushed for the life of the vehicle. Any ideas or opinions?

I just noticed this today as I was driving my 06 cooper s with 43k miles... hopefully it simply is just needing to be warmed up more. Would like to see some opinions as well!

Are the shifts suppose to be slightly rough or are they suppose to be seemless and smooth?

Well stock I am just assuming they are supposed to be smooth. But it really hurts a street race.
I looked a bit into this and read some reviews from people and it seems pretty legit.

Went to a local shop here in Tupelo that specializes in European cars and they believe that the software for the transmission is off and needs to be updated...

Default Same mini cooper problem and the same year

What was the solution to the hard shifting issue you had with your 2005 mini cooper S? I have the same problem with the same year mini. The only error was a bad thermostat and I replaced it and have the same issue.

Thanks
