Hello all!
I have a 2006 R53 JCW with the ChronoPackage and was wondering what this round item is. Is it an indicator lamp? If so, for what? It does not illuminate on initial turning of the key to 'on' nor when fuel level is low. The instruction manual makes no mention of it either, from what I can tell at least.
Something else I noticed is that if I have the key removed from the mini and the turn indicator is on, the side markers stay illuminated. Even when the doors are locked, the side lights stay on. They don't blink, but stay solidly lit. The door does not ding when opened either. Very strange. Can anyone else replicate that, or do I have a random electrical issue somewhere? -- to replicate, all one has to do is flip the turn signal left or right with the key removed and see if the front+rear lamps illuminate.
Thx :-)
Kevin

Hi,
lights will stay on if you have your turn signal on when you park,it's a safety feature.needed to comply with euro law,it's called a parking light function, runs on low power and helps the car be seen at night in poorly lite areas.
