I just bought an 03 mcs a few months ago and i am wondering what mods to do next. i bought the car with a ALTA CAI, 15% reduction pulley, UniChip Pnp, milltek header and exhaust, rear sway bar, and i recently put on an MSD ignition with magnecor wires and colder plugs. I also have a DTBPV in a box waiting to be installed but i want to get a few more parts and just pay the installation all at once.
I was looking at some intercoolers but i heard they take away from the low end and mid range rpm which i dont want. also, i was looking at the mini-madness intake manifold.
Any thoughts on the intercooler or intake manifold or some better mods to get me some more hp's and better low end?[sm=smiley20.gif]

 

A new head will get you the power you want... IM and intercooler won't do very much.

 

what about the mini madness intake manifold? It's much cheaper than the head. How much hp would the intake manifold or head give me and roughly what would the install cost? Thanks for the quick response

 

No idea but it won't be more than a couple HP.

 

If you do the intake, do the intercooler. I have worked on blowres and turbos for 20 years and an intercooler will do a LOT of good as well as prolong the life of your motor. A cooler charge of air is better for everything!!!!!! Always.
