XM Satellite radio
Posted this question in another forum before I saw this forum devoted to electronics. I've got a 2005 MCS Convertible w/ HK stereo upgrade. I'm interested in adding XM radio to my car. I think, but am not certain, that the HK stereo is satellite ready. Wondering if anyone knows for sure. I've also heard that the stereo includes a satellite radio antenna, but that it might be for Sirius, so I'm not sure I can use it, even if it exists. Lastly, I'm interesting in getting any installation tips anyone cares to share.
Well they dont offer XM from the dealer...It is Sirius that they use.....As for the other Q's you asked i will find out for you if its a standard option to add it after the fact which in the BMW's you have to have a certain option to add Satellite radio. I might need the last 7 digits in your vin but i might not.
Hello Dinan guy,
I've got a 2008 Cooper S on order... hope to take delivery in late July. I didn't want to pay the $1000 for the Sirius option from Mini.... I was hoping there was an aftermarket system that I could install myself.
Any help?
