Default Considering my first Mini - Whaddyathink?

Well, there I was when I stumbled across a 2006 mini convertible with the JCW package and ... 12K miles. Price is 24K. I am really interested in the car - but thought I'd ask you guys for your opinions! Is there any advice you could give me - or make mr aware of things I should look out for?

Thanks!

Ollie

Default A bit high?

Sounds like a great car with low miles. However, it seems pretty pricey for a 5 year old MINI. I'm new here so I'm certainly no expert and will be interested in other opinions with more experience than I have to offer!

You can negotiate with the guy. It's a JCW edition and that's gonna be tough, but see if you can lower the price and best of luck!

Default too much

I think they're asking too much. I wouldn't offer them more than $18K--then be ready to walk. There's no reason you should pay $24K for a 5 year old car - despite the low miles. Do your homework on 2006 MINIs (and later models as well) and make sure there won't be anything that will bite you later on.

Price the 2011's (2012's). You could probably get a bran new 2011 MINI for not much more than 24$K. (When the 2011's first came out last year, I loaded a 2011 basemodel hatchback in Sept. and paid under $25K - ordered from dealer, manufactured at Oxford, UK with exactly what I wanted in it).
All I'm saying is that you might be able to get much more MINI for the same $$.

You are worth it - demand what you want. Best of luck.

Forgot you are talking about a JCW...but still, I think they're asking a bit much. In my opinion, you can get a hell of alot of MINI--even if it's not a JC--for $24K.
