Default High Mile Cars ...

I'm new to Minis and I have been looking at a few high mile cars (100-150k) . I want to know what to beware of and what to look for ?

I'm only looking at the "S" models with manual...

it's like any high mileage car ...
Check everything , look at maintenance records if available , contact the mini dealer many will print the service history of the car.
Listen for suspension rattles ect as they can be showing need for strut replacement as well as bad bushings.
Closely examine the tires for signs of uneven wear showing alignment issues.
Check the feel of the clutch looking for the signs of wear slipping
Listen to motor for unusual sounds

If you are not mechanically inclined take it to a Mini Mechanic and have it checked out

Also check if there is an extended warranty available
