Good evening. Just picked up my second JCW Mini. A 2015 Chile Red JCW. My first one was a 2009 and I put 72345 miles on it. Great car.
Maybe this is one of those should know questions but I'm stumped at this point. Looking at the rear of my Mini I see two red lights to the right and left of the exhaust pipes. They look a little like rear fog lights but I don't have fogs. Just not sure what they are. Anyone know?

Hello and congratulations on your new JCW! Are you referring to these?

The rear fog lamp helps make your MINI more visible from behind in poor visibility conditions and certain models have two lamps. I think they're an add on of $100 when you're building your MINI. It may be that if you opt out of the fog lights, by design they leave the exterior of them there, but they are not usable. Maybe just confirm with your dealer whether or not they actually work.

Thank you for responding. Yes, those are the 2 lights I was referring to. My 2008 JCW had only one in back and because I couldn't find a switch I sort of came to your conclusion. Thanks again buddy. Gary
