Default No audible sound when the doors are locked

When I'm walking away from most cars, I will push the lock button twice and the car usually honks the horn to let you know that the doors are locked however my MINI doesn't do that, all it does it flash the lights once. Is there a setting somewhere to get it to honk the horn?

the cooper doesnt have an alarm. in order to steal it anyway u would need a key or a flatbed truck. the way it is designed...the key has a chip in it. which, if u hot wire it. its just going to shut right back down anyway. if it would even start at all from a hot wire.
