Hi everyone I'm new here. I absolutely love my Mini Cooper. I however am having one problem, When I lock my doors my hatchback still is able to be opened.. It opens and closes just fine don't believe anything is wrong with the mechanism But still able to open it even though the car is apparently locked. I hope I'm just missing something.

It's a 2008 many Cooper non sport edition Hatchback

Okay I figured it out, Apparently there's a sensor in the key that knows when I'm near trunk so it allows me to open it when the doors locked.
Without the key in my hand can't open it. Problem solved
