Seems like a really simple thing, but I just bought a new fog light on ebay since my right fog light on my car was missing and the connection doesn't work with the pigtail connector on my car. The fog light I bought said it was for an 02-07 mini cooper. I own an 02 mini cooper s. Attached is a picture of the connector I have along with a picture of the connection on the fog light. Please help me understand why this isn't working

Is the lock clip broken? Check to see if it's not bent or locked up with dirt and grime.

I can help you , back in the early MINI days in 2002 there was pre 6/2002 and post 6/2002 fog lights.

Pre 6/2002 used a H7 bulb 63217160781 and socket MINI / BMW part 63128380206.

In post 6/2002 and up model , they went to newer design housing / bulb combo of the H11 bulb. Part # 63217160784

There is no full housing anymore for the pre 6/2002 MINI replacement anymore, if you replace the housing you get the new housing with the H11 bulb.
