just a heads up, get glass coverage
hi all,
just thought I would share a little tidbit of info I found out today. my windshield got a fairly large crack from a rock recently, and when calling for replacement, found out that a couple different shops wanted around $850 bucks to replace it (rain censor, heated). Without the heat, the price drops to $400. Just curious if anyone has replaced a heated with a nonheated and had any warning lights pop up? I wouldn't expect any issues, but crazier things have happened.
I am told that heated windshields can be identified by a thin element along the bottom. I thought I would have it since my car has the heated mirrors and cold weather package, but I dont see a wire.

My glass shop had no listing for heated windscreen ...As I was having my regular one replaced If I could get a heated one I would have payed the difference and run wiring to it
my landrover heated windshield was $1800/$1400
