Looking at a 2004 and it has 3 codes

Default Looking at a 2004 and it has 3 codes

The people selling it are doing as is.. THey want me to get it inspected.

I ran the codes they are

P2096
P1692
P0302

It has 154k miles and they want 3k..

What do you guys think ? I am just curious as I am a newbie to minis.

P2096 Post CatalystFuel Trim SystemToo Lean, Bank 1 - check out this thread here. Some more information here. Check for leaks in the system. Post #11 here gives you a good list to run down to check your system.

P1692 check out this thread here.

P0302 is a misfire on cylinder 2 and can be a number of things. Look here for suggestions. If you run through the list and nothing simple fixes it, you could have a burned exhaust valve.

Honestly, I'd move on and find a different MINI if I were you. It seems that some of these issues could be more expensive/complicated than it's worth, but if you're DIY capable you could make it a project. Good luck.
