Any Body have problems with the footwell module ? seems to me that might be my problem

 

footwell modules are common issues in mini as well as bmw. if your footwell module has corrosion you need to see where water is getting in from. most of the time the sunroof drains detach and drain directly down the a-pillar inside the vehicle.

 

It could also be covered under warrenty from mini. Give them a call.

 

They won't cover it if it has water intrusion.

 

Maybe true...it is an easy swap with a unit that has the same part number. ISTAP can program and code it with no issues.
