I am being told that the entire transmission must be replaced because the check engine light is on and shows "internal transmission faults". This is after replacing the transmission control module and wiring to trans harness - power to module and power is good. This is a $7600+ hit and my inspection is due by end of January 2018.

Anyone have any thoughts or input on this?
