Default Stability control? How do i know it has it?

Say i go to test drive a mini, how do i know it has stability control. I see it was listed as an optional feature. Is there a key giveaway that it Definitely has it... besides trying to drift around corners[8D]

Because it's a safety feature put there for your protection. There isn't any real reason to turn it off for every day driving, just for track days and stuff.

So I should turn it on EVERYtime I get in the car?
