Question about speed Vs Rpm
My 2006 automatic transition Mini Cooper is doing something odd, I can accelerate to 75 M/h and it go around 30 000 rpm, if I took the foot out from the accelerator, without touching the brake pedal, it start slowing down at normal rate 70 M/h 27 000 rpm but ones it hit 65 or 68 M/h the rpm suddenly goes up to 35 000 rpm it keeps like that until the speed reach around 58 M/h and them the rpm start going down.
If I accelerate when it is at 65 M/h and 35 000 rpm one it hit the 70 M/h the rpm goes down around 30 000.
Any clues?

Just as an aside, you are reading the tach incorrectly. No piston engine rotates at 30,000 rpm. 3,000 yes. 30,000 no. Jet engines operate in that realm, but not reciprocating engines. Your engine would have disgorged its pistons up thru the head or spun the crankshaft counterweights thru the oil pan long before that point.
Not trying to be a pain, but correct reporting of symptoms is always useful.
