Hi I'm new here.
I've had a 2013 clubman for 9 months (under warranty) and the stock headlights are worthless. Dealer replaced with same dim bulbs, they were no help at all. They only said they'd sell me $2k Xenons.
So I Bought Phillips brighter bulbs and had an Indy mechanic install them and adjust the housing up. Didn't help much. The low beams still don't project far enough, not bright enough, and have a distinct line so I can only see the road, everything above is in total darkness. The high beams are fuller scope but scalloped and not bright enough either.
I live in the country and drive on dark highways at night, these are giving me a headache because I can hardly see the road.
I've seen LED and Xenon conversion kits on Amazon for around $175. The Indy mechanic could install.
Questions:
1. Has anyone tried these?
2. Do they work well with the eyeball shaped housing?
3. Can you recommend a brand/model?
