Hello everyone,

This is my first post on any forum... well... ever. I'm a concerned mother. I have a twenty-year old son who wants to buy a used Minicooper. Since the new-mini is a bmw, I was wondering if police tend to target the Minicooper similarly to how they target bmw's or sports cars in general.

Nah, I haven't had any extra attention and mines very modified.

 

I think the Minis tend to fly below radar....besides there are far more visible vehicles out there these days.

 

The longer the hood, the larger people think the engine is.
The mini has such a short hood, people don't think of it as a sports cars.
I don't think police will pay much attention to it.
They don't with me.
