I drove a used mini cooper not an s and i noticed loud cabin noise from the engine. Like its constantly trying to shift and its riding in high gear. Is there alot of differences between the s and the regular also when it comes to suspension comfort and cabin noise or is the only difference is that the s has more power

 

I have a standard Mini, and it is my opinion that the cabin noise level is quite low compared to the average vehicle. From what I have seen,horsepower is the primary difference between the two, and handling packages are available for both, but you are much more apt to see them on the S. Interior noise is roughly the same. If the one you are looking at is extremely noisey, I would say that is not normal.
