mini s 06 with 28,000 miles uses 1 qt per 1,000 miles or less mini rep says it is normal till 750 miles per qt. does any one else have this problem.

 

no oil leaks but uses 1 qt in less than 1000 miles, still under factory coverage till next wk. mini rep wants us to drive for another 1000 miles and ck the oil again. this will be the 5 time we have had the car in for this problem. can anyone help. thanks

 

Yes there is some oil use I never saw the 1 qt per 1000 miles , I change at 5000 miles and I was 1 qt low ,
And of course he wants you t drive another 1000 by that time it will be out warranty
