Default mini cooper advice

Looking for advice. I'm middle aged, have always dreamed about having a mini coop for decades, and I would like to move forward with purchasing one.

Can anyone tell me if I should go with Turbo or Supercharged?

I am looking at years from 2005-2012. Is there a better year than another?

More or less if anyone could help me out and tell me what to watch out for? I would like to have an automatic (with paddle shifters). Are there any ups or downs about paddle shifting? This would be a toy for me and not a primary vehicle. Would love to have one where the drivers side is on the right side! Wouldn't we all. Any help would be greatly appreciated and happy holiday season to everyone!

Hey there. I would give you advice if I could but I can't. I'm torn on both your options. I own a '04 MCS that I modded and I totally love it! I love the whine when I get on it! It sounds like a big angry cat under the hood! On to the dilemma. My sister just got a 2015 MCS but hers is an automatic but the new ones are twin turbo. I love her car as well. It just jumps when you get on it! Sounds mean as well. I know i'm being no help at all to you. Just wanted to tell you that either way you go is good. Cheers!

I personally own a 2010 Mini Cooper S and I love everything about it except that it has paddle shifters even though it's my daily. Even though it's got paddle shifters it's just about as fun as a manual except my left foot gets bored as well as my right hand but it's quick the only thing I've done to it myself is partially stripped it out but I got it lowered with bigger and wider tires it's awesome. I take exits at 90-100 easily but I don't advise it Hope you fine which one you like better. I've never driven or even riden in a 06 or later

This is a huge personal preference thing. I love my 2012 cooper s (i prefer turbos personally) but I have alot of friend who love their super charged minis.....there probably wont be a ton of help on deciding which to go with. Are you planning on doing any modifications? if so what?
