Any help with helping with solutions would be greatly appreciated. When the roof is down I can see a snapped plastic piece attached to the fabric on the leaking side. On the other side I cannot see the plastic. When the roof is up I can run a finger between the fabric and the seal. I found a site somewhere that suggested it was a broken roof tensioner retaining clip but I cannot find the site now and do not know how to fix it. I live in France and suspect that BMW will charge a fortune to fix it.

 

I have this issue on mine, both sides are broken on mine, and MINI quoted $330 out the door to fix it. They will sell just the parts for $85.00, you will need a drill and a rivet gun.
