Hello, I just bought a Certified Pre-owned 2017 Cooper Cabrio from my local Mini Cooper dealer.

This is the first car I've ever bought from the Cooper/BMW family.

The previous cars I have owned and driven have all been mostly VW

So this car is a learning curve for me.

I did run the Vin# and saw the options I can unlock.

I have a really dumb question. It concerns the phone. At the dealership, they gave me a quick tutorial and my Android phone is recognized by the car.

I don't have Smartphone Mirroring option unlocked. The question is, is there anything I can do with the phone without that option? Things like "hands free" phone calls? Or do I need that to do anything?

It will do most basic things like calls and bluetooth, since its an andriod you are locked out of the apple/MINI features for MINI connected.
