Hey everyone, names Cody. Im in the Air Force and was just recently stationed in Japan. My question comes from my newest purchase. I just bought my wife our first Mini Cooper! Awesome I know. But this particular Mini is a 1999, has the Mini40 badge on the front, the chrome GB on the back, the Mini40 gauges in the interior and has every sign of being one of the limited 1999 Mini Cooper LE40s. I know this is a very rare car but mine is missing 1 thing, and that is the emblems on the side of the car. The old lady I bought this off from just had it painted in the last 6 months to her favorite colors red and white and it is possible the side decals were painted over. How do I find out if I have stumbled on a rare bird here? I have looked inside both of the doors and on the dash, including looking down from the windshield and I do not see a VIN to verify. Any help would be much appreciated!
